This hillside construction required extensive innovation and building creativity due to its dramatic site characteristics. The home literally hangs off the edge of the cliff while an infinity edge pool blurs the boundary between the water's edge and the valley view beyond. The interior contains elegant and modern finishes with large two story ceilings.

This home received the Palm Springs Modernism Award for 2009 and the Honor Award in Residential Design for the 2009 Concrete Masonry Design Awards. A well crafted variety of masonry walls grounds the house to the landscape while expanses of glass doors and windows open up to views of the mountain surroundings and valley beyond.

Extensive consideration was given to the landscaping by using native and drought tolerant plants while pavers and pathways provide a man-made contrast to the vegetation. Finish out took 5 weeks, as the pool, garage, hardscape and landscape, were all completed post delivery. The total cost to build the home was comparable to that of site built construction, but with savings in time.

The home was designed by Palm Springs Famous Stuart Williams for his son who owned the home. The challenge here was to keep the charm of one era, and give it one overall new identity.

An interior renovation which took only four weeks to complete from start to finish. The interior transformed from shag and painted cabinets, to modern and sleek finishes. Many of the original bathroom tiles and fixtures were refurbished and retained, saving the homeowner a lot of expense, saving the landfill from extra refuse, and helping to achieve the preservation of the vibe that the client sought.

This sustainable and green project combined two eixting lots with a lot merge while deconstruction a house by completely dismantling it piece by piece. A portion of the house was recycled by shipping the dismantled pieces to Mexico and only 10% of the waste ended up in the landfill, as opposed to the typical 80%. A new tennis court was then constructed a with a raised observation deck and teak fencing.
