LEED Projects

We recently received the honor of the first LEED certified building in Palm Springs, CA for the design and completion of a brand new re-release, Mid-Century home. The home earned LEED Silver honors for implementing green buildings standards into the design and construction such as: solar photovoltaic panels, paperless drywall, dual flush toilets, recycled flooring, recycled decorative concrete, ENERGY STAR windows and appliances, high level of insulation, no VOCs (volatile organic compounds) in paint, carpet or adhesives, high-efficiency in heating and air conditioning, careful design to help minimize water use by installing minimal sod, and using drought tolerant plants, as
well as native species, diversion of construction waste from landfill, and Forestry Stewardship Council Certified woods.

Due to a stunning well crafted uses of various types of concrete masonry, this home received an Honor Award Residential Design for the 2009 Concrete Masonry Design Awards. The home was also awarded the 2009 Modernism Award for paying respect to the detailed design qualities of the past while adapting to current construction practices and techniques.
